This year marks 10 years since the TRIP lab was first established. In spite of endless logistical obstacles, Dr. Ben McManus, Assistant Director, managed to bring together current and past TRIPsters along with a few old friends to surprise TRIP Lab Director, Dr. Despina Stavrinos, with an anniversary party! Emotions ran high (in a good way) as TRIPsters were reunited and friends were greeted. Many of those who could not attend sent video messages congratulating Dr. Stavrinos and the TRIP Lab on a very successful first 10 years. It was a wonderful afternoon of food, fun, and friendship.
(The food was wonderful, but the cakes stole the show. The simulator cake is even lacking tires … just like the actual simulator!)
