William Wagner, PhD, is a Data Analyst with the UAB TRIP Laboratory. He began working in the TRIP Lab as an undergraduate research assistant, where he completed his honors thesis on drivers’ perceptions of different types of hazards. He recently completed his dissertation project on the relationship between driving avoidance and speed of processing among drivers with autism spectrum disorder or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. In addition to data management and analysis, Will is interested in the driving outcomes of people with developmental disabilities. He also enjoys mentoring the TRIP Lab’s undergraduate research assistants in statistics and the processes of psychological research.
Dr. Stavrinos has provided me with invaluable mentorship throughout my undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate career. The diversity of projects and roles available to members of the TRIP Lab provides not only irreplaceable experience in the methods of research and the translation of that research, but also opportunities to strengthen a wide variety of skills, including writing, programming, community outreach, and team collaboration.
