The UAB TRIP Lab was featured in a segment on the TODAY show this morning! At approximately 6:42 am Central time this morning, the TODAY Show’s national investigative correspondent, Jeff Rossen, examined how long your eyes are actually off the road when you take a selfie and post it to social media. What better place to demonstrate this terrifying reality than the UAB TRIP Lab’s state-of-the-art driving simulator with it’s sophisticated eye tracking capabilities!?!

The story is a follow-up to the story of a Georgia teen who is being sued by the Georgia man she crashed into while taking selfies and posting them to Snapchat. The  man claims the car crash left him with permanent brain damage.

You can view the segment on the TODAY Show’s website.
